first_imgRosses AC News:Well done to our athletes who competed in the Ballyliffin 10 Mile Coastal Challenge and in the Glen Duathlon at the weekend. A fine run by Ciaran Mc Gonaagle to finish 4th in Ballyliffin followed by Brendan Mc Bride, Seamus Ferry, Michael Rodgers, Helen Mc Cready, Jonny Wilson, Edward Wilson and Kelly O’Donnell.Well done to Sinead Boyle on winning the Ladies event in the Run/Cycle/Run category in the Glen Duathlon. Leigh McGeever was third in the Run/Cycle category. Good performances also from Adam and Con McGeever. A big thanks to all parents and athletes who helped out and supported our annual Car wash/ bucket collection on Easter Saturday. A special thanks to Anne and Paul McDevitt, who have really been huge supporters and making their facilities available for the day. Many thanks of course also to the many people who donated so generously.The club is holding a table quiz in Caisleain Oir on Wednesday 15th April at 10 am.Come Dine With Me – Calling all Rosses AC parents and senior athletes. Would you like to take part in a simple yet fun fundraiser for your club? If so, why not volunteer to host a ‘Come Dine With Me’ evening for your family and friends? This is a great opportunity for a relaxed and enjoyable evening with friends while at the same time raising much needed funds for our club. We would appreciate as many athletes / parents as possible getting involved. Please send club organiser, Leanne Sharkey, a private facebook message to let her know that you’re interested in taking part.Track and Field training recommences for Juveniles on Monday April 13th in Carrickfinn and Magheragallon at 6pm. Adult training sessions continue on Wednesday evenings at 7pm and Friday evenings at 8pm at the Industrial Estate, lead by Paul McGee. Long run sessions are happening every Sunday morning at 11am. Meet at the Blue Bridge, Arduns, Gweedore. Dates for Diary: The third race in our Spring Series is Sunday 26th April. Open to walkers, joggers and runners.
