President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on Saturday fulfilled promises she made during her recent nationwide county tour by making donations to several institutions and individuals.The donations included three TSV motorbikes, one 5.5 KVA generator and one rice processing machine for female farmers of Rivercess County. According to an Executive Mansion release, the donations were made on behalf of President Sirleaf by Mr. Toe K. Wesseh, coordinator of Special Presidential Services in the Office of the President.Recipients of Saturday’s donations included LBS Lofa County correspondent Tokpa Tarnue and Madam Marie Zoego, president, Liberia Marketing Association (LMA), Rivercess – both of whom received a motorbike each. Mr. Wesseh, however, disclosed that Putu Central High School in Grand Gedeh County received one 5.5 KVA generator, while a physically challenged in Grand Kru County received the third motorbike.He said President Sirleaf’s goodwill gestures were part of her way of identifying with and fulfilling commitments to citizens during her recent tour.
