Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney provided a new injury update for freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence during a teleconference appearance this evening. Here’s the latest.Lawrence, a five-star freshman, had to leave his first-career start on Saturday after taking a big blow to his head in the comeback win over Syracuse. The true freshman QB is doing much better today, though, according to Swinney.Lawrence’s status for next weekend’s game has yet to be determined, though.“All that stuff is Danny and the doctor. He actually was really good, he was trying to come back in the game yesterday but anytime you get anything with the head and neck area, there’s just no room for error there. So they shut him down and he actually was really good after the game and he was very good this morning, felt great. I think they were very encouraged by what they saw. He’s going to work out and they’ll continue to evaluate him and hopefully will see. But will go with what we got. Based on what they said I would expect that, but that’s all up to those guys,” Swinney said.Clemson came from behind against Syracuse on Saturday, remaining undefeated on the season. The Tigers are set to take on Wake Forest next weekend.
