A lawsuit claiming former Los Angeles Lakers star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had a woman fired from the law firm where she worked will be dismissed, his attorney said Tuesday. Diana Broda asked a Superior Court judge to dismiss her case on Friday after reaching a settlement on Feb. 5, according to court papers. Broda agreed to dismiss the case without receiving any monetary compensation, said Tom Delaney, Abdul-Jabbar’s attorney. “This was a frivolous lawsuit …,” Delaney said. A call to Broda’s attorney was not immediately returned. Broda sued Abdul-Jabbar and his company, Ain Jeem Inc., on Sept. 5 for intentional interference with contractual relations and with prospective economic relations. Broda worked for 17 years as the legal and administrative assistant at the Los Angeles law firm of Garims, Weil, West & Epstein.last_img
