But he has also admitted to having a difficult relationship with his father over the years, especially during his growing up years.Yograj Singh, who played 1 Test and 6 ODIs for India, strongly disapproved of Yuvraj playing any other sport and always wanted to see his son grow up and play cricket for India one day.Yuvi managed to realise his father’s dreams and went on to achieve enormous success in cricket and finally achieved the closure that he was looking for with his father. On Monday, Yuvraj announced his retirement from international cricket in a press conference in Mumbai and also took the opportunity to speak about his father and what kind of a role he played in his life during his childhood.”I made peace with it couple of days ago when I was talking about it with my father. I spoke to him and all the demons inside me as a kid came out. It was a very peaceful moment for me to have that closure.”I have never had that chat with him in the last 20 years. He’s always been like a dragon to me. Just confessing to the dragon was a very difficult time. Me and my father have a very different relationship now, I think both have grown up. I have grown up but I don’t know about him (laughs).advertisement”I’ve had closure with him. He never appreciated me playing any other sport which always scarred me when I was a young kid.
